Recently, the CWE Hong Kong Volunteer Team responded to the call of the Agency for Volunteer Service Hong Kong and participated in the territory-wide "Flag Day" charity activity. With concrete actions, the team raised funds for the underprivileged groups in Hong Kong and conveyed warmth to society.
On the day of the event, volunteers carried out the "Flag Day" activity in crowded areas such as Causeway Bay in an orderly manner. Equipped with donation bags and stickers, they devoted themselves to the voluntary service with enthusiasm and sincerity, patiently explained the purpose of the activity, and called on all sectors of society to join hands in supporting the underprivileged groups. The activity continued the feature of "family-oriented public welfare", with some volunteers participating together with their family members and children, passing on the spirit of public welfare through words and deeds. Members of the public responded positively and donated generously, converging a warm current of love with every act of kindness. After a morning of efforts, the activity raised approximately HK$6,000 in total, and all the funds will be used in full to support the underprivileged groups.
