Inheriting the spirit of Master Lo Pan, the patron saint of Chinese builders and carpenters, the Construction Industry Sports and Volunteering Programme (CISVP) under the Construction Industry Council (CIC) launched the “Construction Industry Lo Pan Rice Campaign” in 2020 during the birthday of Master Lo Pan, and distributed hot meal boxes to underprivileged groups, bringing care and hope to the community. As we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR this year, the CIC and the Hong Kong Construction Association (HKCA) once again join hands and organise the “18 Districts Lo Pan Rice” Campaign from 1 to 31 July 2022, spreading love and care across 18 districts in Hong Kong.

Officiated by Ir Ricky LAU Chun-kit, Permanent Secretary for Development (Works), the kick-off ceremony was held today at the CIC-Zero Carbon Park. Ir Thomas HO On-sing, Chairman of the CIC, Sr Eddie LAM Kin-wing, CIC Member and President of the HKCA, as well as Ir Albert CHENG Ting-ning, Executive Director of the CIC, presented certificates of appreciation to the sponsor representatives. Together with Ir Conrad FUNG Kwok-keung, Chairperson of the "18 Districts Lo Pan Rice" Campaign and Vice President of the HKCA, the Campaign was officially launched.
